FTP Voyager Scheduler web interface query

$

Hi all

I was wondering if there is a way of making the FTP Voyager Scheduler console available from other computers on the network.

When I launch the scheduler it opens the website: http://127.0.0.1:52986/, this works perfectly on the local machine but if I edit the address to:

http://server:52986/ and try it on a domain machine it fails to load.  (I've confirmed that there are no firewall rules in the way).

Any ideas?

Cheers,

James

Problems with FTP voyager connecting to IIS 8.5 FTP server

$

I realize that the company has little incentive to worry about how their free FTP client inter-operates with a rival server product, but I wondered if anyone had any clues about my problems connecting to IIS FTP server.  (Long ago I purchased Serv-U for my now geriatric server, and once owned an actual purchased copy of FTP voyager back when it was a paid product.  But by the time moved to a new server, Serv-U went upscale and is way too expensive for my humble purposes.)

I get two types of error, which might or might not be related:

1) When uploading multiple files at once to the server, the connection always hangs on the second file after successfully uploading one file.  IIS log looks like this:

This is just uploading a bunch of random images to a folder called "transfer".  After the LIST command for the second filename (to see if it's already there), and another PASV command, everything poops out.

2) I get a lot of "SSL Accept Failed on FTP Data Channel" errors.  These pop up any time I try to upload a file when a file of the same name already exists in the destination folder; and also at random other times.  To get anything done, I need to delete or rename any file of the same name from the server first before uploading; and when the "SSL Accept ..." error pops up at other random times, I need to refresh the destination folder and try again, sometimes repeating this cycle several times.  Eventually it always works, but it's a pain.  The IIS log file for an attempt to upload a file which already exists, generating the "SSL Accept ..." error, looks like this:

It's not very informative.  It gets as far as verifying that the alternative filename is available, and then poops out.  IIS FTP server seems to have no more logging detail available.  It's not just a dumb-nuts firewall problem, since I can upload individual files one at a time in passive mode using the tricks mentioned above.

Any insight is appreciated.

SSL Accept failed on FTP data channel. The connection will be aborted

Hi,

We have a scheduled task that should upload a file to a remote location via FTP over SSL or TLS. This was working fine with version 15 but not now with version 16. The upload works sometimes but most of the time it doesn't.

We really need this to work or else a downgrade must be done. So any ideas or questions will be appreciated.

Kind regards,

Peter Nilsson

FTP Scheduler Services

I have 16 different tasks that run throughout the day and once in a while (~once a month) if one hangs, it causes everything else in the queue to hang.  I have the Scheduler running as a service and I'd like to have a bat file stop and restart the service daily or weekly.  However when i try to run the bat file from the command line I receive an error that the specified service does not exist as an installed service.  Any workarounds?

Big issue with scheduled tasks

Hello,

I really need your help to solve this issue.

We are using FTP Voyager V16.2.0.328 to schedule different tasks to send messages to our partners.

The problem is that sometimes, the tasks are frozen. It keeps trying to connect but do nothing, and as it doesn't send an issue mail.

In the log, the action stay  : Connected

To solve it, we just interrupt the task in order to run the other tasks.

Is there a solution to kill the task after X min, or to send a mail when the task stay connected more than X Min ?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Can FTP Voyager Copy from Local Drive Path (E:\my\path\) to UNC (\\remoteserver\fileshare\subfolder\)?

$

I've found information stating that FTP Voyager supports UNC paths however when I try to enter a UNC as a remote path within any of the actions, it automatically changes the back slashes to forward slashes which breaks it.

All I want to have happen is after a file is downloaded, a script is run that performs some file manipulation and then FTP Voyager copies files from the local drive to a UNC network location.

If I put the UNC into the "local" folder, it doesn't automatically convert the direction of the slashes and actually works if copying from the FTP server to the UNC. If it copies *to* the UNC in the remote folder, then it fails.

Is there a setting that I'm missing or does it just not support copying to a remote UNC path from a local path?

The ideal workflow is:

1) FTP from a linux FTP server to local E:\sub\folder\ which is a Window Server 2012 R2 server

2) If files downloaded, run script with the processed files put in E:\sub\folder\out\

3) Move Up from E:\sub\folder\out\ to \\remoteserver\fileshare\subfolder\  which is a Windows FIle Share on a Windows Server 2012 R2 server

I have tried turning off UAC as well as changing the service account that the FTP Voyager service runs under; which I have verified has write permissions to the UNC path.

Any help is appreciated!

FTP-Voyager in command line mode.

Hi,

Got FTP-Voyager to work great in command mode using a batch file to initiate file sync to my server from industrial robots to back them up.  Was working great as far as doing the job closing out starting another instance and going to the next robot.

New problem.....

It no longer closes out at the end of the sync.  What option did I change that keeps FTP-Voyager from closing ?  I am using "autoquit=1" in the command line.

Thanks

I'm running this script on my PC1 with FTP Voyager version 16.2 but it does just open FTP voyager and DOES NOTHING.  No file transfer at all.

I checked and I do see 2 zip files inside d:\temp\ folder.  However if I take this same script and execute on another PC and it work fine.  This PC has same FTP voyager version and same configuration as PC1.

Can someone help? thanks.

FOR %%G in (d:\temp\*.zip) do (

echo.found %%G

"C:\Program Files\RhinoSoft\FTP Voyager\FTP Voyager.exe" profile="Art_Test_FTPserver" put=%%G remote="/" logfile=NAR_upload.log -nostartupwizard -nosplash autoquit=1

Echo uploaded %%G successfully

Echo.

FTP Voyager - Does it support TLS 1.1

We need to send a document via FTP over TLS (Explicit) using TLS 1.1.  Does FTP Voyager 16.1 support that?  If so, how do I get my site profile to use that?

Thanks

[16.2.0.328] Problems with Scheduler after update

I noticed two problems after FTP Voyager update to version 16.2.0.328:

1.  Synchronization is failed when name of remote folder include "#" example: #docs, #tickets.
2.  Only files are synchroized. (Subfolders - aren't). Option "subfolders" is checked!

In previous software version I didn't notice such issues.

Is there any workaround? (Regard point  no. 1 - it is not possible to change folder name.

In FTP Voyager I create a site profile under “Tool – Scheduler Site Profiles”. I’m able to connect to this profile and manually upload and manage documents. I created a Task in Scheduler to sync the remote folder using the profile I create. When executed I get the following error “Execution failed (Last Error Message: )”.

Why am I getting the error in Scheduler when I don’t making a direct connection?

I am attempting to connect to a Ubuntu server running Open SSH via SFTP using FTP Voyager, but I cannot get the private/public keys to be accepted.  The same keys work fine for Putty (SSH).  Any thoughts?

Hi, I keep getting an error "The operation cannot be performed" while trying to save an action. The screenshot shows FTP Voyager in the background with the connection open from the "Scheduler Site Profile Manager" and I have full access to the remote site... any help would be appreciated!

Just wondering if there is documentation or syntax for initiating an FXP transfer in FTP Voyager from the command line? I know how to do it in the GUI, but it would be useful to be able to script it.

FTP Voyager Scheduler not working (Ver. 16.0.2.0)

Hi

I've referred to here by FTP Voyager support.

This is my first time I use FTP Voyager for scheduling file transfer, configuring task was very easy, but I still cannot make it work.

In the task action, I created a new action to download a specific folder (and all files and subfolders inside that folder to my local PC

In action information, I put the (Remote File or Folder) as: /FolderName

Nothing downloaded, and error in the log says:

Execution failed (Last Error Message: Unable to perform file action: Could not retrieve additional information about the source path.  Does the source path exist?).

I changed it to: FolderName (without slash).

Nothing downloaded, and same error in the log.

I then tried: FolderName/*.*

Log says: Execution successfully completed.

But in the local folder, I found it only downloaded files from main folder (No subfolders or files inside them), and some of them with ZERO size !!!!!

Again, I tried: /FolderName/*.*

Log says: Execution successfully completed.

I found that the ZERO size problem has been solved (files downloaded with correct size) but still cannot get the subfolders !

In the forum, I found a link to the older version (ver. 15.2.0.19)

I downloaded and tried it on another PC, It works like a charm, with no errors !

Can anyone here help me to figure out how to make the scheduler download the whole content of remote folder ??

FTP Voyager uploads distorted?

Sorry for the basic question

I have an eBay store

I have recently purchased a new computer and have downloaded FTP Voyager (I had been using it successfully on my old computer) when I upload to turbo lister the photo is distorted?

I scan photo, adjust on IPhoto Plus 4 and then upload to turbo lister. It looks great on IPhoto Plus 4 also have checked it in Paint and looks great however when it gets to turbo lister 1/4 to 3/4 of it is distorted looks like it has a filter over it.

Thank you in advance for any help.

FTP Voyager is recognizing the file I’m trying to upload as a directory for some reason. Transferring to remote location fails with message xxxx.ARMOH is a directory. (Remote side does not accept directories) however xxxx.ARMOH is a file. Anyway to inform Voyager of this and only send files.
