I downloaded all the files on my server with the aim to back them up. There were two zip files on the server. When I checked the download status one of the zip files had had difficulties downloading (exclamation mark next to it) so the downloaded copy on my local directory was empty. The real problem was that the original file on the server was completely gone along with another zip file.
Why have they disappeared????
Zip files vanished on download
FTP Voyager SMTP Problems
Hi
I have set up the SMTP for the scheduler to use the smtp details for Office 365 which uses port 587. When the event attempts to run, I get an error saying
Unable to send message to xxxxxxxxxxx Unable to connect to SMTP server on port 25
1) Why is this failing?
2) Why is it saying it is using port 25 when I have told it to use port 587?
Thanks
SSH Protocol Error: invalid key exchange value
Hi All,
Does anyone experience getting an error: "SSH Protocol Error: invalid key exchange value." with Serv-U 15.1.2? I was'nt able to connect thru SFTP after the upgrade but not with other protocol.
I already apply the hotfix: http://downloads.solarwinds.com/solarwinds/Release/HotFix/SU-v15.1.2-HotFix1_v2.zip
I have created a listener on the internal interface and tried to connect to it. I get an error that the server unexpectedly closed the network connection. The firewall does not appear to be the issue.
Here are the sample logs from Serv-U:

FTP Voyager - Could Not Create Key Files
Surface Pro 4 running Windows 10
FTP voyager seemed to be fine when first installed. I downloaded a lot of video files. I then ran through all the Windows updates including the firmware. Now FTP Voyager runs for up a while 1 - 10 min and then aborts. Voyager I think is up to date at version 16.2.0.328
Structure of FTP Voyager Scheduler
I am using FTP - Voyager for more than a decade now, but in Version 16, I'm missing the following option:
Extended options of scheduler.
I have a job which should run daily but only from 2 a.m. til 10 p.m.
In V.15 I'm using extended options: One daily job which is repeated between 2 a.m. and 10 p.m.
How can I do this in version 16 without having 20 identic daily jobs (one daily job per hour)?
many thanks
Change SMTP setting including port but still getting errors sending to port 25
I was getting errors sending email alerts saying that Voyager could not find the email server on port 25. I switched to a new SMTP server. Setup the email option in FTP Voyager to use Port 587 and the new SMTP server settings. Stopped and restarted the Scheduler service. But still getting error that it cannot send on port 25.
Thanks
Bob
Change file name on server after download
I'm new with Voyager. I have a file that is created periodically. I want to download it and then change the name of that file on the server to add the current date. A new file will be create by events and sit until downloaded. Is changing the date of the original file possible. I think I see the ability to change the file you are downloading but don't see how to change the date on the original file. Any comments or help would be appreciated.
Voyager Profiles not showing in Scheduler
I have created 2 FTP profiles in Voyager but when I open the Scheduler and try to select the profile to work with there are no sites there!?
I have looked over all the settings... It seems pretty simple, I have saved 2 profiles that work fine but not showing in the scheduler app.
Any insight?
Thanks, Andy
FTP Voyager and IBM MVS z/os
Looking on some help with this connection issue. I've tried passive mode, turned most options off and then one at a time...to troubleshoot and still no luck.
Trying to connect to and IBM MVS through FTP Voyager and getting directory listing error.

BUG: Remote files flagged as older after Comparing Folders with Synchronise Folders feature even though datetime are identical
The Compare folders in the Synchronize feature does not appear to be working correctly.
Both local & remote files have identical datetime, size etc yet it shows the remote files are older?
The timezone for local & remote servers are the same. I even checked the milliseconds of these files and they are identical
Unless I tick Ignore Older the synchronise will continue to upload the same files every time.
Am running version 16.2.0.328
FTP Upload / File Upload On Demand
I need to upload a file to the bank. The file is created by the user on demand. I do not know at what time of day but the file needs to be uploaded within 30 minutes. I created a schedule to run every 5 minutes from 00:01 to 23:59 daily. I would like to limit this run to Monday - Friday but do not see how. Also when this runs and the file does not yet exist it tries to connect to the target server. I need it to only connect when the file exist. I would like to use email notification of a unsuccessful upload but all are unsuccessful when the file does not yet exist.
Scheduler runs task continuously
I have several tasks setup to run at different time intervals on a daily basis.
After the time change for Daylight Savings Time on Sunday morning the tasks run as scheduled and then stop and re-start continuously.
I have tried re-starting the service, updating the task scheduler time and re-booting the server all to no avail.
Has anyone else seen this or does anyone have any ideas on how to correct it.
I am on FTP Voyager version 16.0.2.0.
Never had this issue on any previous versions.
Is there a place to download version 15 again????
FTP Voyager Schedular does not copy all files from server to local share
We have noticed that Voyager does not successfully copy all files from our Serv-U server to a local share when writes are happening simultaneously at the server. Most of the files get copied just fine and all files show up in the Voyager log as copied. We are running Voyager Version 16.0.1.1 on a Windows 7 Enterprise OS. The system is a Virtual Server.
We are positive that if we are not writing files to the Serv-U server at the same time as the Voyager schedular is trying to process files, everything comes down just fine. It only seems to be an issue during a write to the Serv-U system.
Thanks!

FTP Voyager/Scheduler v16..Need Help Please!
Hi All. I upgraded by FTP Voyager/Scheduler from v13 to v16. The interface I like along with the stability but I am having issues galore. So I'll post some and see what I get back. The questions below assume it worked fine in v13 and isn't or is doing something different in v16.
1) My downloads from Unix to Windows used ASCII and was fine. Now the CR (carriage returns) are being stripped and I can't figure out why or how to fix it. In global and profile options I have tried all 3 transfer modes. The file is still stripped.
2) My scheduler actions I have just the file to download and the local path I could use the variables for dates and also rename it from there. Now, if I use a variable or rename in that local path line, it creates a folder with the dates variables and put the file in side unchanged. <- driving me crazy.
3) Many jobs were failing saying "path not found" which I learned has to be the absolute path now. Is this true?
Any help with these would be great. I have had to write a bunch of batch files for temporary use until I can figure out how to make Voyager do it [again] like it has been.
Thanks all
FTP Voyager V16 - Failing CWD - already in home
Another strange issue with FTP Voyager v16. I have a site profile that is using 21, very simple. The credentials land me in my home dirctory. If I try and connect it keeps failing over and over because it is trying a CWD a directory named exactly where I landed, in my home directory. Funny thing is I am using the profile in Schedule and works just fine. I've deleted it and recreated it and the same thing happens. I used another FTP program to connect with exact same credentials and it connects just fine. I'm really regreting upgrading to this version from v13. The application was very buggy and crashed but I was able to get the job done without all the little things that changed. Snippet of the error. It happens over and over and over until I stop it. And of course I removed the actual names.
257 "//serverA/shareB" is current directory.
COMMAND> CWD /severA/shareB
550 /serverA/shareB: No such file or directory.
ERROR> Unable to change to folder "/serverA/shareB".

FTP Voyager 16.1.0 SFTP (SSH2) Not Working Behind a Proxy Server
I read that the latest version 16.1.0 supposed to address SFTP SSH2 issue.
My old version 15.2.0.15 works great on SFTP SSH2 behind a proxy server. However, after I upgraded it to the latest version (16.1.0), it could not go through my same proxy server. I am using standard Windows 7 Enterprise. I am using both user/password and public/private key authentications. Any idea? I check the same setting as on my version 15.2, which has no problem.
